Fair Trading (Amendment) Regulations 2001

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1. Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to amend the
Fair Trading Regulations 19991 to vary the
prescribed persons for the purposes of section

27(5) of the Fair Trading Act 1999.

2. Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 165 of the Fair Trading Act 1999.

3. New regulation 5 substituted

For regulation 5 of the Fair Trading Regulations

1999 substitute—

'5. Exemptions

The following persons are prescribed persons for the purposes of section 27(5) of the Fair Trading Act 1999—

(a) Press Association Limited

each member of the Victorian Country that is a related body corporate of such a member;

(b)

each member of the Australasian each person that is a related body corporate of such a member.'.
