s1 2 s6 Fair Trading Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 2003 No. 199, 2003 1 Short title This regulation may be cited as the Fair Trading Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 2003 . 2 Commencement This regulation commences on 1 September 2003. 3 Regulation amended This regulation amends the Fair Trading Regulation 2001. 4 Renumbering and relocation of s 11A Section 11A— renumber as section 9A and relocate after part 3, heading . 5 Insertion of new s 11A After section 11— insert— ‘11A Brush-cutter, clearing saw or grass trimmer ‘AS3575–1995, section 2.3.3 1 is prescribed as a safety standard for a brush-cutter, clearing saw or grass trimmer.’. 6 Amendment of sch 6 (Dictionary) Schedule 6— insert— ‘ “AS 3575–1995” means Australian Standard 3575 (Clearing saws, brushcutters and grass trimmers—Safety requirements) as published on 4 December 1995. “brush-cutter, clearing saw or grass trimmer” means a device— 1 AS3575–1995, section 2.3.3 (Strength of cutting device)

s6 3 s6 Fair Trading Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 2003 No. 199, 2003 (a) consisting of, or fitted with, a rotating chain of metal links for cutting as shown in figure 1; and (b) intended for cutting brush, grass, shrubs, small trees or weeds.
