s1 2 s6 Fair Trading Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 2002 No. 210, 2002 1 Short title This regulation may be cited as the Fair Trading Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 2002 . 2 Regulation amended This regulation amends the Fair Trading Regulation 2001. 3 Commencement This regulation commences on 1 November 2002. 4 Insertion of new s 11A After section 11— insert— ‘11A Babywalkers ‘ASTM F 977–00, sections 6.1, 6.4 and 9.3 is prescribed as a safety standard for a babywalker.’. 5 Amendment of sch 5 (Safety standards—Commonwealth regulations) Schedule 5, item 2— omit, insert — ‘ 2. Trade Practices (Consumer Product Safety Standard) (Bicycle Helmets) Regulations 2001 (Cwlth). 1 ’. 6 Amendment of sch 6 (Dictionary) (1) Schedule 6— insert — 1 See Statutory Rules 2001, No. 279.
s6 3 s6 Fair Trading Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 2002 No. 210, 2002 ‘ “ASTM F 977–00” means the United States of America standard ASTM F 977–00 entitled Standard Consumer Safety Specification for Infant Walkers as approved on 10 April 2000 and published in July 2000. 2 “babywalker” means a device that— (a) consists of a frame on wheels designed to support a baby inside the frame who has not learned to walk and whose feet are touching the ground; and (b) is propelled by the movement of the baby.’.
