s1 2 s5 Fair Trading Amendment (No. 1) No. 455, 1997 ˙ Short title 1. This regulation may be cited as the Fair Trading Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 1997 . ˙ Commencement 2. This regulation commences on 1 March 1998. ˙ Regulation amended 3. This regulation amends the Fair Trading Regulation 1989 . ˙ Amendment of ss 6, 7, 11, 12 and 13 4. Sections 6(5), (7) and (9), 7(1), 11, 12(2) and 13, ‘the Standards Association of Australia’— omit, insert— ‘Standards Australia’ ˙ Insertion of new s 15A 5. Part 3, after section 15— insert— ˙ ‘ Cots—safety requirements ‘ 15A.(1) A cot for use in household situations is required to comply with AS/NZS 2172—1995 1 published on 5 April 1995, clauses 3, 5, 6, 8, 9, 11 and 12. ‘ (2) In this section— “cot” does not include a folding cot or carry cot.’. 1 AS/NZS 2172—1995 Cots for household use—safety requirements is a standard published jointly by Standards Australia and Standards New Zealand.
