Explanatory note

The object of this Regulation is to declare the current version of the Motor Vehicle Insurance and Repair Industry Code of Conduct, which commenced on 1 May 2017, to be an applicable industry code of conduct. This Regulation is made under the Fair Trading Act 1987, including sections 53 (1) and 92 (the general regulation-making power).

1      Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Fair Trading Amendment (Code of Conduct) Regulation 2017.

2      Commencement

This Regulation commences on the day on which it is published on the NSW legislation website.

3 Amendment of Fair Trading Regulation 2012

Clause 21 Declaration of industry code of conduct in relation to motor vehicle insurers and repairers

Omit “Gazette No 127 on 27 October 2006 at pages 9139–9168” from clause 21 (1).
Insert instead “Gazette No 81 on 21 July 2017 at pages 4192–4216”.
