I, the Honourable Gordon Samuels AC, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Fair Trading (Amendment) Act 1990, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 1 September 1998 as the day on which Schedule 1 (2) to that Act commences.

Explanatory note

The object of this Proclamation is to commence an uncommenced provision of the Fair Trading (Amendment) Act 1990 relating to the granting of injunctions by the Supreme Court in respect of contraventions of orders of the Commercial Tribunal under Part 7 (Codes of practice) of the Fair Trading Act 1987.
