AN ACT to amend the Factories and Shops Act,

1920-1952.

[Assented to 28th October, 1954.]

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

Short title

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Factories and and citation.

Shops Act Amendment Act, 1954.

(2) In this Act the Factories and Shops Act, 1920-

1938, and as further amended by Acts Nos. 15

of 1948, 54 of 1948, 46 of 1951 and 59 of 1952,

is referred to as the principal Act.

(3) The principal Act as amended by this Act may

be cited as the Factories and Shops Act, 1920-1954.

Schedule	2. The Second Schedule to the principal Act is
amended.

amended by

(a) substituting for the figures in the second column under the heading "Amount of annual fee" other figures as follows:

for the figures "3 0" in line four of the

second column substitute "10 0";

for the figures "6 0" in line five of the

second column substitute "1 0 0";

for the figures "12 0" in line six of the

second column substitute "2 0 0";

for the figures "1 5 0" in line seven of the second column substitute "3 10 0";

(b)

substituting for the last item the follow- Where such number exceeds thirty

for the first thirty persons

employed or to be employed £3 10 0

and for every additional ten

persons employed 1 0 0

up to a maxi- mum of £15.
