Extradition (Republic of Italy) Regulations (Amendment) (Cth)

the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulation under the
Dated 15 September 1983.

Regulations 2 and 3 of the Extradition (Republic of Italy) Regulations are repealed and the following regulations substituted:
“2.
In these Regulations, ‘the Act’ means the
“3. The Act applies in relation to the Republic of Italy subject to the following treaties:
(a) the Treaty of Extradition between Australia and the Republic of Italy that came into force on 9 May 1976 (being the treaty a copy of the English text of which is set out in the Schedule);
(b) the Convention for the Suppression of Unlawful Seizure of Aircraft (being the Convention referred to in the
Crimes (Hijacking of Aircraft )Act 1972 );(c) the Convention for the Suppression of Unlawful Acts against the Safety of Civil Aviation (being the Convention referred to in the
Crimes (Protection of Aircraft )Act 1973 );(d) the Single Convention on Narcotic Drugs, 1961 as subsequently amended (being the Convention referred to in, and a copy of the English text of which is set out in the Schedule to, the Extradition (Narcotic Drugs) Regulations.”.
