I, PHILIP MICHAEL JEFFERY, Governor‑General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Extradition Act 1988.

1. Name of Regulations

These Regulations are the Extradition (Czech Republic) Regulations 2007.

1. Commencement

These Regulations commence on the day after they are registered.

1. Definition

In these Regulations:

Act means the Extradition Act 1988.

1. Declaration that The Czech Republic is an extradition country

The Czech Republic is declared to be an extradition country.

1. Application of the Act to The Czech Republic

For paragraph 11 (1) (b) of the Act, the Act applies to The Czech Republic subject to modification of paragraph 17 (2) (a) of the Act by omitting ‘45 days’ and substituting ‘60 days’.
