UNDER THE CUSTOMS ACT 1901 AND THE COMMERCE (TRADE DESCRIPTIONS) ACT 1905

AMENDMENTS OF THE
EXPORTS (GENERAL) REGULATIONS
(a) by omitting from paragraph (b) “not exceeding three pounds” and substituting “the mass of which does not exceed 1.5 kilograms”;
(b) by omitting from paragraph (c) “weight” and substituting “mass”;
(c) by omitting from sub-paragraph (i) of paragraph (c) “four ounces” and substituting “125 grams”; and
(d) by omitting from sub-paragraph (ii) of paragraph (c) “one ounce” and substituting “50 grams”.
(2) In the Schedule—
(a) a reference by number to the name or description of goods shall be taken as a reference to the name or description of goods given that number in the first column of the Second Schedule;
(b) a reference to conditions and restrictions shall be taken as a reference to the conditions and restrictions in the second column of the Second Schedule; and
(c) a reference to provisions relating to trade descriptions shall be taken as a reference to the provisions in the third column of the Second Schedule.
(3) In respect of a reference by number to the name or description of goods referred to in column 1 of the Schedule—
(a) the conditions and restrictions applicable to those goods are amended as set out in column 2 opposite that reference; and
(b) the provisions relating to trade descriptions applicable to those goods are amended as set out in column 3 opposite that reference.
