REGULATION UNDER THE CUSTOMS ACT 1901-1953 AND THE COMMERCE (TRADE DESCRIPTIONS) ACT 1905-1950.*

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulation under the Customs Act 1901-1953 and the Commerce (Trade Descriptions) Act 1905-1950.

AMENDMENT OF THE EXPORTS (FRESH VEGETABLES) REGULATIONS. 

The First Schedule.

Item 8 in the First Schedule to the Exports (Fresh Vegetables) Regulations is amended—

(a) by adding, after paragraph 3 in the Second Column, the following paragraph:—

“4. Notwithstanding the provisions of paragraph 3, potatoes shipped to New Zealand and marked ‘A Grade Commercial’ may be ungraded for size if they are not less than two ounces in weight.”; and

(b) by omitting the words in the Third Column and inserting in their stead the following words:—

“The trade description shall include the words ‘A Grade Small’, ‘A Grade Medium’, ‘A Grade Large’ or ‘A Grade Commercial’, whichever is applicable.”.
