REGULATIONS UNDER THE CUSTOMS ACT 1901-1963 AND THE COMMERCE (TRADE DESCRIPTIONS) ACT 1905-1950.*

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Customs Act 1901-1963 and the Commerce (Trade Descriptions) Act 1905-1950,

Amendments of the Exports (Fresh Fruit) Regulations.  

Third Schedule.

1. The Third Schedule to the Exports (Fresh Fruit) Regulations is amended—

(a)by omitting paragraph 2 in the second column of item 10 and inserting in its stead the following paragraph:—

“2. The plums shall be sound, clean, well-formed, of regular size, free from broken skins and from disease and capable of normal ripening. Each plum of a variety other than Beauty, Santa Rosa, Wilson or Narrabeen shall be not less than 1¼ inches in diameter, each plum of the Beauty, Santa Rosa or Wilson variety shall be not less than 1⅝ inches in diameter and each plum of the Narrabeen variety shall be not less than 1⅞ inches in diameter,”; and

(b)by adding at the end of paragraph 2 in the third column of item 10 the word and letters—

“Wilson

Wil.”.

Fourth Schedule.

2. The Fourth Schedule to the Exports (Fresh Fruit) Regulations is amended by omitting Form 4 and inserting in its stead the following Form:—

(d)that the fruit in its present state has not been previously examined and rejected by an officer.
