REGULATIONS UNDER THE CUSTOMS ACT 1901-1960 AND THE COMMERCE (TRADE DESCRIPTIONS) ACT 1905-1950.*

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Customs Act 1901-1960 and the Commerce (Trade Descriptions) Act 1905-1950.

AMENDMENTS OF THE EXPORTS (DRIED FRUITS) REGULATIONS. 

Trade description.

1. Regulation 12 of the Exports (Dried Fruits) Regulations is amended by inserting in sub-paragraph (i) of paragraph (da) of sub-regulation (1.), after the word “Item”, the figures “10,”.

Second Schedule—Item 10.

2. Item 10 in the Second Schedule to the Exports (Dried Fruits) Regulations is amended by omitting paragraph 2 in the second column and inserting in its stead the following paragraph:—

“2. The currants shall comply with the provisions of paragraphs 2, 3, 4 and 5 of Item 11.”.

Second Schedule—Item 39A.

3. Item 39A in the Second Schedule to the Exports (Dried Fruits) Regulations is amended by adding at the end of paragraph 1 in the second column the words “if produced from White Muscatel grapes, or a 17/32 inch riddle if produced from Waltham Cross Grapes”.

Second Schedule-Item 39B.

4. Item 39B in the Second Schedule to the Exports (Dried Fruits) Regulations is amended—

(a) by adding at the end of paragraph 1 in the second column the words “if produced from White Muscatel grapes, or a 17/32 inch riddle if produced from Waltham Cross grapes”; and

(b) by omitting from paragraph 2 in the second column the figures “10” and inserting in their stead the figures “15”.

5. Item 39C in the Second Schedule to the Exports (Dried Fruits) Regulations is amended by omitting paragraph 1 in the second column and inserting in its stead the following paragraph:—

“1. The raisins shall be such as will not pass through a 13/32 inch riddle but will pass through a 18/32 inch riddle if produced from White Muscatel grapes, or a 17/32 inch riddle if produced from Waltham Cross grapes.”.

Second Schedule—Item 39D.

6. Item 39D in the Second Schedule to the Exports (Dried Fruits) Regulations is amended by adding at the end of paragraph 1 in the second column the words “if produced from White Muscatel grapes, or a 17/32 inch riddle if produced from Waltham Cross grapes”.

Second Schedule—Item 39E.

7. Item 39E in the Second Schedule to the Exports (Dried Fruits) Regulations is amended by omitting paragraph 1 in the second column and inserting in its stead the following paragraph:—

“1. The raisins shall be such as will not pass through a 13/32 inch riddle but will pass through a 18/32 inch riddle if produced from White Muscatel grapes, or a 17/32 inch riddle if produced from Waltham Cross grapes.”.
