STATUTORY RULES
REGULATIONS UNDER THE EXPORT PAYMENTS INSURANCE CORPORATION ACT 1956–1970.*

THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the
advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations
under the

Amendments of the Export Payments Insurance Corporation Regulations
“‘Acting Commissioner’ means a person holding office as Acting Commissioner under section 10 of the Act;”.
“4. For the purposes of
paragraph (
“5. For the purpose of sub-section (2.) of section 18 of the Act, the amount is Eleven thousand eight hundred and twenty-two dollars.
“6.—(1.) Subject to the next succeeding regulation, where the Commissioner or an Acting Commissioner is necessarily absent from Sydney overnight in the course of performing his duties, travelling allowance is payable to him at the rate of Twenty-one dollars per day,
“(2.) Travelling allowance payable under this regulation is in addition to, and does not include, the cost of conveyance.
“7.—(1.) Where the Commissioner or an Acting Commissioner performs duties outside Australia and the Territories of the Commonwealth, he is entitled to be paid such allowances as he would be entitled to be paid if he were an officer of the Public Service of the Commonwealth and were included in the Second Division.

“(2.) The Commissioner or an Acting Commissioner who is entitled to be paid travelling allowance in respect of a period under the last preceding sub-regulation is not entitled to be paid travelling allowance in respect of that period under regulation 6 of these Regulations.
“8.—(1.) The Commissioner is entitled to be paid an allowance, called ‘entertainment allowance’, at the rate of One thousand dollars per year for the purpose of enabling him to meet expenses of entertaining necessarily incurred by him in the performance of the duties of his office.
“(2.) An Acting Commissioner is entitled to be paid, in respect of a period of office, entertainment allowance at the rate of One thousand dollars per year.”.
