Export Inspection (Service Charge)

Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THE ADMINISTRATOR of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulation under the Export Inspection (Service Charge) Act 1985.

Commencement

1. These Regulations shall come into operation on 1 November 1987.

Imposition of charge

2. Regulation 4 of the Export Inspection (Service Charge) Regulations is amended by inserting before paragraph (a) the following paragraph:

“(aa) dairy produce;”.

Rates of charge

3. Regulation 5 of the Export Inspection (Service Charge) Regulations is amended:

(a) by inserting before paragraph (1) (a) the following paragraph:

(aa) dairy produce is $41 per hour or part thereof for each attendance by an authorised officer;”; and

(b) by omitting from paragraph (1) (a) “$36” and substituting “$41”.

4. The Export Inspection (Service Charge) Regulations are amended by adding at the end the following regulation:

Exemption from charge

“6. An establishment registered for operations associated with the preparation of dairy produce is exempt from charge if paragraph 4 (aa) of the Export Inspection (Quantity Charge) Regulations does not apply to it.”.
