Export Inspection (Service Charge)

Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Export Inspection (Service Charge) Act 1985.

Commencement

1. These Regulations commence on 1 October 1988.

Rates of charge

2. Regulation 5 of the Export Inspection (Service Charge) Regulations is amended:

(a) by omitting paragraph (1) (b) and substituting the following paragraph:

“(b) fish is:

(i) $50 for each attendance by an authorised officer for a continuous period of half an hour; and

(ii) $50 per period of half an hour or part of that period for each attendance by an authorised officer occurring in a prescribed monthly aggregate; and”;

(b) by omitting from subparagraph (1) (c) (i) “$19” and substituting “$17”;

(c) by omitting from subparagraph (1) (c) (ii) “$24” and substituting “$22”;

(d) by omitting from paragraph (1) (c) “$72” and substituting “$66”;

(e) by omitting from paragraph (a) of the definition of “prescribed period” in subregulation (2) “one” and substituting “half an”;

(f) by omitting from paragraph (b) of the definition of “prescribed period” in subregulation (2) “whole” and substituting “completed half”.
