I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Export Inspection (Quantity Charge) Act 1985.

Commencement

1. These Regulations shall come into operation on 1 October 1986.

Interpretation

2. Regulation 2 of the Export Inspection (Quantity Charge) Regulations is amended—

(a) by omitting “28 August 1984” from the definition of “forward contract” and substituting “20 August 1986”; and

(b) by omitting the definition of “rock lobster”.

Exemption from charge

3. Regulation 4 of the Export Inspection (Quantity Charge) Regulations is amended—

(a) by omitting paragraph (a); and

(b) by omitting from paragraph (d) all the words after “field peas” and substituting “exported under a contract entered into before 22 August 1985”.

Schedule

4. The Schedule to the Export Inspection (Quantity Charge) Regulations is amended—

(a) by omitting from Item 1 “$1.26” and substituting “$1.63”;

(b) by omitting Item 2;

(c) by omitting from Item 3 “$2.80” and substituting “$3.02”;

(d) by omitting from Item 4 “, 2 or 3 ............... $2.13” and substituting “or 3............... $2.55”;

(e) by omitting the sub-heading “Eggs” and Items 7 and 8;

(f) by omitting the sub-heading “Fish” and Items 9, 10, 11, 12, 13 and 14;

(g) by omitting from Item 15 “fresh fruit,”;

(h) by omitting from Item 16 “, other than fresh vegetables or dried vegetables”;

(j) by omitting from Item 20 “9.7” and substituting “10.3”;

(k) by omitting from Item 21 “19” and substituting “21”;

(l) by omitting from Item 22 “21” and substituting “22”; and

(m) by omitting from Item 24 “72” and substituting “83”.
