Regulations(Amendment)

I, The Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Export Inspection (EstablishmentRegistration Charges) Act 1985 .

1.   Commencement

1.1   These Regulations commence on 1 August 1992.

2.   Amendment

2.1 The Export Inspection (Establishment Registration Charges)

 Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

3.   Regulation 4 (Imposition of charge)

3.1   Subregulation 4 (1):

Omit the subregulation, substitute:

“4.

(1)  The following prescribed commodities are specified for the purposes of subsection 6 (1) of the Act:

  • (a)

    dairy products;

  • (b)

    dried fruits;

  • (c)

    fish;

  • (d)

    fresh fruits;

  • (e)

    fresh vegetables;

  • (f)

    plant products; 

  • (g)

    plants;

  • (h)

    poultry meat;

  • (i)

    processed fruit;

  • (k)

    processed vegetables.”.

3.2   After subregulation 4(1), insert:

“(1a) For the purposes of section 6 of the Act, in relation to the registration or the transfer of registration of premises as an establishment for the processing or packing of dairy products, dried fruit, fish, processed fruit or processed vegetables, the charge for an application for:

  • (a)

    the registration of an establishment– is $330.00; or

  • (b)

    the transfer of registration of an establishment– is $330.00.”.

4.   Regulation 6 (Rates of charge)

4.1   Paragraph 6 (a):

Omit “Schedule 1”, substitute “the Schedule”.

4.2   Paragraph 6 (a):

Omit “, per prescribed month,”, substitute “per year”.

4.3   Paragraph 6 (b):

Omit “Schedule 1”, substitute “the Schedule”.

4.4   Paragraph 6 (b):

Omit “per prescribed month”, substitute “per year”.

4.5   Paragraph 6 (b):

Omit “and”.

4.6   Paragraph 6 (c):

Omit the paragraph.

4. Schedules 1 and 2

4.1   Omit the Schedules, substitute:

(c) an establishment associated with the  processing or packing of butter, eggs or  casein for export
