Export Inspection and Meat (Establishment Registration Charges) Regulations 2(Amendment)

I, The Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Export Inspection (Establishment Registration Charges) Act 1985.

1.   Commencement

1.1   These Regulations commence on 1 September 1996.

2.   Amendment

2.1   The Export Inspection and Meat (Establishment Registration Charges) Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

3.   Regulation 6 (Rates of charge)

3.1   Omit the regulation, substitute:

Rates of charge—non-meat establishments

 “6.(1)For the purposes of section 7 of the Act, the rate of charge in relation to the registration of a non-meat establishment of a kind specified in column 2 of an item in Schedule 1 is the rate, for each year of registration, specified in column 3 of that item.

 “(2) If a kind of non-meat establishment is specified in more than one item in column 2 of Schedule 1, the rate of charge is the higher or highest of the rates specified in column 3 for those items.”.

[Note:   The heading to regulation 7 is taken to be omitted and the following heading substituted:

“Rates of charge—meat establishments”.]

4.   Schedule 1 (Registration charges for non-meat establishments)

4.1   Item 10, column 3:

Omit “$346.00”, substitute “$369”.

4.2   Item 11, column 3:

Omit “$346.00”, substitute “$369”.
