Export Inspection and Meat (Establishment Registration Charges) Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, The Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Export Inspection (Establishment Registration Charges) Act 1985.

1.   Commencement

1.1   These Regulations commence on 1 July 1997.

2.   Amendment

2.1   The Export Inspection and Meat (Establishment Registration Charges) Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

3.   Regulation 3 (Interpretation)

3.1   Insert the following definition:

‘grain’ means grain to which the Grain, Plants and Plant Products Orders, as in force on 1 July 1991, apply;”.

4.   Regulation 4 (Imposition of charge)

4.1   Subregulation 4 (1):

After paragraph (e), insert:

  • “(ea)

    grain;”.

5.   Schedule 1 (Registration charges for non-meat establishment)

5.1   Item 10:

Omit “$369”, substitute “$388.00”.

5.2   Item 11:

Omit the item, substitute:

“11

An establishment associated with the preparation, storage or inspection of plants and plant products

$388.00

11A

An establishment associated with the preparation, storage or inspection of grain

$369.00”.
