Export Inspection and Meat (Establishment Registration Charges) Regulations 2(Amendment)

I, The Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Export Inspection (Establishment Registration Charges) Act 1985.

1.   Commencement

1.1   These Regulations commence on 1 January 1995.

2.   Amendment

2.1   The Export Inspection and Meat (Establishment Registration Charges) Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

3.   Regulation 3 (Interpretation)

3.1   Insert the following definitions:

‘co-operative’ means a body registered as a co-operative under a law of a State or Territory;

‘corporation’ has the same meaning as in the Corporations Law;”.

4.   Schedule 1 (Registration charges for non-meat establishments)

4.1   After item 10, insert:

“10A

An establishment engaged in the processing or packing of dairy produce for export, being an establishment that:

  • (a)

    is owned by a corporation; or

  • (b)

    is owned by, or is part of, a co-operative;

that exported more than 2000 tonnes of dairy produce in the preceding financial year

 $3100.00”
