Export Control (General) Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Export Control Act 1982.

Principal Regulations

1. In these Regulations, “Principal Regulations” means the Export Control (General) Regulations.

Modifications of the Exports (Canned and Frozen Fruits) Regulations

2. Regulation 6 of the Principal Regulations is amended—

(a) by omitting from paragraph (c) “and”; and

(b) by adding at the end thereof the following word and paragraph:

“; and (e) ‘under the supervision of an officer’ were omitted from paragraph 8 (1) (a) of those Regulations.”.

Modifications of the Exports (Dried Fruits) Regulations

3. Regulation 8 of the Principal Regulations is amended—

(a) by omitting from paragraph (c) “and”; and

(b) by adding at the end thereof the following word and paragraph:

“; and (e) sub-regulation 21 (3) of those Regulations were omitted.”.

Modifications of the Exports (Fish) Regulations

4. Regulation 9 of the Principal Regulations is amended—

(a) by omitting from paragraph (c) “and”; and

(b) by adding at the end thereof the following paragraphs:

“; (e) ‘and’ were omitted from sub-paragraph 18 (2) (b) (ii) of those Regulations; and

(f) paragraph 18 (2) (c) of those Regulations were omitted.”.

Modifications of the Exports (Fresh Fruit) Regulations

5. Regulation 10 of the Principal Regulations is amended—

(a) by omitting from paragraph (c) “and”; and

(b) by adding at the end thereof the following word and paragraph:

“;and (e) sub-regulation 21 (3) of those Regulations were omitted.”.

Modifications of the Exports (Fresh Vegetables) Regulations

6. Regulation 11 of the Principal Regulations is amended—

(a) by omitting from paragraph (c) “and”; and

(b) by adding at the end thereof the following word and paragraph:

“; and (e) sub-regulation 17 (3) of those Regulations were omitted.”.

7. Regulation 13 of the Principal Regulations is repealed and the following regulation substituted:

Modifications of the Exports (Grain) Regulations

“13. For the purposes of paragraph 5 (f), the Exports (Grain) Regulations shall be read subject to these Regulations and as if—

(a) a reference to an officer were a reference to an authorized officer; and

(b) paragraph 7 (aa) of those Regulations were omitted.”.
