2 Exotic Diseases in Animals Amendment (No. 1) No. 172, 1993 ˙ Short title 1. This regulation may be cited as the Exotic Diseases in Animals Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 1993 . ˙ Amended regulation 2. The Exotic Diseases in Animals Regulation 1981 is amended as set out in this regulation. ˙ Replacement of ss.3 and 4 3. Section 3— omit, insert— ˙ ‘Approval of forms ‘3. The chief executive may approve a form— (a) for a purpose under the Act or this regulation for which a prescribed form is required or authorised to be used; or (b) for use for any purpose in connection with the administration of the Act or this regulation. ˙ ‘Exotic diseases in animals ‘4. For the purposes of the Act, each of the following diseases is declared to be an exotic disease— (a) screw worm infestation; (b) avian influenza; (c) duck virus enteritis; (d) infestation of exotic parasitic mites of bees— (i) Varroa jacobsoni ; and (ii) Tropilaelaps clareae ; and (iii) Acarapis woodi . ’.

3 Exotic Diseases in Animals Amendment (No. 1) No. 172, 1993 ˙ Insertion of new s.16 4. After section 15— insert— ˙ ‘Repeal ‘16. The following orders in council made under the Act are repealed— (a) order in council made on 12 July 1984 and published in the Gazette on 14 July 1984 at page 1694; (b) order in council made on 21 March 1985 and published in the Gazette on 23 March 1985 at page 1537; (c) order in council made on 16 February 1989 and published in the Gazette on 18 February 1989 at page 1270. ’. ˙ Repeal of Schedule 5.
