Explanatory note
The object of this Regulation is to update a reference to a prescribed standard for the exhibition of carnivores that must be complied with by the holder of an authority that authorises the use of premises as an animal display establishment or the exhibition of animals.
This Regulation is made under the Exhibited Animals Protection Act 1986, including sections 14, 25 and 53
(the general regulation-making power).

1      Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Exhibited Animals Protection Amendment (Standards)
Regulation 2016.

2      Commencement

This Regulation commences on the day on which it is published on the NSW legislation website.

3 Amendment of Exhibited Animals Protection Regulation 2010

Clause 8 Standards for animal display establishments

Omit “Standards for Exhibiting Carnivores in New South Wales (published in May
2005)” from clause 8 (1).

Insert instead “Standards for Exhibiting Carnivores in New South Wales (published in August 2016)”.
