His Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following

Regulation under the Exhibited Animals Protection Act 1986.

Explanatory note
The objects of this Regulation are:

(a)	to update a reference to a prescribed standard about the exhibition of animals (being a standard that the Department has revised and re-issued) that must be complied with by the holder of an authority that authorises the use of premises as an animal display establishment or the exhibition of animals, including at an animal display establishment, and
(b)	to update references to the Director-General of the Department (who is now called the Secretary), and
(c)	to update a reference to the Department.

This Regulation is made under the Exhibited Animals Protection Act 1986, including sections 14 (Standards), 25 (Issue of permits) and 53 (the general regulation-making power).

1      Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Exhibited Animals Protection Amendment (Standards for
Exhibiting Animals) Regulation 2015.

2      Commencement

This Regulation commences on the day on which it is published on the NSW legislation website.

Insert in alphabetical order in clause 3 (1):

Secretary means the Secretary of the Department.
