His Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Exhibited Animals Protection Act

1986.

Explanatory note
The object of this Regulation is to exempt the following from the licensing and permit requirements of the Exhibited Animals Protection Act 1986:

(a) the display of domestic rabbits at agricultural shows, agricultural show parades, agricultural field days or at a farm (see clause 5 (1) of the Exhibited Animals Protection Regulation 1995, and
(b) the display, or keeping for display, under certain conditions of domestic rabbits for the purposes of promoting an agricultural product derived from such rabbits (see clause 5 (m) of the Exhibited Animals Protection Regulation 1995).

This Regulation is made under the Exhibited Animals Protection Act 1986, including paragraph (c) of the definition of exhibit in section 5 (l), which provides for the regulations to declare that specified circumstances do not constitute an exhibition of an animal for the purposes of the Act.

2 Amendment of Exhibited Animals Protection Regulation 1995

The Exhibited Animals Protection Regulation 1995 is amended as set out in Schedule 1.
