This regulation may be cited as the Exhibited Animals (Fees) Amendment Regulation 2024.

This regulation commences on 1 July 2024.

21   Exemption from fees for official assessment (application)

(1)This section applies if—
(a)before the commencement—
(i)a person made an application of a type mentioned in section 103(1)(a) or (b) of the Act; and
(ii)the person gave the chief executive written consent to an official assessment (application) of an animal, enclosure or place to which the application relates; and
(b)from the commencement, the official assessment (application) is carried out.
(2)The person is exempt from payment of the following fees for the official assessment (application)—
(a)the fee for carrying out the assessment under schedule 3, item 9;
(b)the fee for travel associated with carrying out the assessment under schedule 3, item 10.
