Excise Regulations (Amendment) (Cth)

THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice
of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under
the
Dated 27 June 1984.

By His Excellency’s Command,
Minister of State for Education and Youth Affairs for and on behalf of the Minister of State for Industry and Commerce
(a) by omitting from paragraph (1) (k) “or” (last occurring); and
(b) by inserting after paragraph (m) the following word and paragraph:
“; or (n) stabilized crude petroleum oil on which Excise duty has been paid has been exported after 30 June 1983,”.
“52b. (1) Subject to sub-regulation (2), the rate of rebate allowable to a person in respect of stabilized crude petroleum oil referred to in paragraph 50 (1) (n) (in this regulation referred to as ‘oil’) that was exported by that person during the financial year that commenced on 1 July 1983 is $7.32 per kilolitre.

“(2) Where the total amount of the oil that was exported by a person during the financial year that commenced on 1 July 1983 exceeds 642,311 kilolitres—
(a) the rate of rebate allowable to that person in respect of so much of that total amount of oil as exceeds 642,311 kilolitres but does not exceed 694,275 kilolitres is $35.50 per kilolitre; and
(b) no rebate is allowable to that person in respect of so much of that total amount of oil as exceeds 694,275 kilolitres.”.
