Excise Regulations (Amendment) (Cth)
I, THE
GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of
the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the
Dated 21 June 1985.

“(1) In these Regulations, unless the contrary intention appears—
‘spirituous beverage’ means—
(a) vodka; or
(b) a spirituous beverage that is manufactured by mixing, compounding or blending spirit with ingredients other than caramel or water;
‘the Act’ means the
Excise Act 1901 .”.
“83a. In this Division, ‘fortifying spirit’ has the same meaning as in Part VIa of the
S.R. 292/84 Cat. No. Recommended retail price 40c 10/17.1.1985

Omit “liqueur” (wherever occurring), substitute “spirituous beverage”.
Repeal the regulation.
