Excise Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Excise Act 1901.

Commencement

1. These Regulations commence on 1 July 1989.

Outwards duty free shops

2. Regulation 79 of the Excise Regulations is amended by omitting from paragraph (7) (c) “second to last day on which the duty free shop is open for business” and substituting “tenth day”.

Particulars of goods for export under section 58a of the Act

3. Regulation 204aof the Excise Regulations is amended:

(a) by omitting from subparagraph (1) (h) (i) “Australian Export Commodity Classification” and substituting “Australian Harmonized Export Commodity Classification”;

(b) by omitting subregulation (2) and substituting the following subregulation:

“(2) In subregulation (1), “Australian Harmonized Export Commodity Classification” means the publication entitled “Australian Harmonized Export Commodity Classification” published by the Australian Bureau of Statistics on 1 July 1989.”.

Schedule 1

4. Schedule 1 to the Excise Regulations is amended by omitting Forms 31, 32 and 33.
