Excise Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Excise Act 1901.

Circumstances under which remissions, rebates and refunds are made

1. Regulation 50 of the Excise Regulations is amended:

(a) by omitting from sub-subparagraph (1) (db) (ii) (b) “, or are taken to have been returned,”;

(b) by omitting subregulation (2a).

Goods to be destroyed under supervision

2. Regulation 54 of the Excise Regulations is amended:

(a) by omitting from subregulation (1) “(a) or (b) of sub-regulation (1) of regulation 50” and substituting “50 (1) (a), (b) or (db)”;

(b) by omitting from subregulation (2) “for the purposes of sub-regulation (1)” and substituting “to which paragraph 50(1) (a) or (b) applies”.

Repeal

3. Regulation 54a of the Excise Regulations is repealed.
