(Amendment) Regulations 2002

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1. Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to prescribe certain classifications of Police Administrative Officer and Forensic Officer as classifications in the public service for the purposes of witnessing affidavits and statutory declarations.

2. Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 152(2) of the Evidence Act 1958.

3. Prescribed classifications in the public service

In regulation 5 of the Evidence (Affidavits and

Statutory Declarations) Regulations 19981—

(a) after paragraph (d) insert—

"(da) Forensic Officer FO2 to FO4

(inclusive);";
Evidence (Affidavits and Statutory Declarations) (Amendment)

Regulations 2002 S.R. No. 13/2002

(b) for paragraph (i) substitute—

"(i) Police Administrative Officer PAO2 to

PAO5 (inclusive).".
