AN ACT to amend the Evidence Act, 1906-1956.

[Assented to 6th October, 1960.]

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most ExcellentMajesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Evidence

by substituting for the words, "criminal proceeding" in line one the words, "legal proceedings";

(b)

by inserting after the word, "given" in line nine the words, "either orally or by affidavit".

4. The principal Act is amended by adding after 2dg1

section ninety-two the following section:-

92A. The provisions of sections eighty-nine, ninety, ninety-one and ninety-two of this Act shall apply to bankers' books and banks and branches of banks in any State or Territory of the Commonwealth.
