Essential Services (Continuity of Supply) Regulations

The Australian Capital Territory Executive makes the following Regulations under the Essential Services (Continuity of Supply) Act 1992.

Citation

1.  These Regulations may be cited as the Essential Services (Continuity of Supply) Regulations.

Commencement

2.  These Regulations commence on the day on which they are notified in the Gazette.

Interpretation

3.  In these Regulations, unless the contrary intention appears—

“the Act” means the Essential Services (Continuity of Supply) Act 1992.

Prescribed essential services

4. For the purposes of the definition of “essential service” in section 3 of the Act the following are essential services:

(a)the supply of reticulated water;

(b)sewerage services.
