Essential Services Commission Amendment Regulations 2019

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Essential Services Commission Regulations 2011 as a consequence of the enactment of the Essential Services Commission Amendment (Governance, Procedural and Administrative Improvements) Act 2019.

2Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 65 of the Essential Services Commission Act 2001.

3Commencement

These Regulations come into operation on 6 December 2019.

4Regulation 1 substituted

For regulation 1 of the Essential Services Commission Regulations 2011[1] substitute

"1   Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to prescribe certain matters in relation to the Essential Services Commission Act 2001.".

5Definitions

In regulation 5 of the Essential Services Commission Regulations 2011, the definition of applicant is revoked.

6Matters to be included in the annual report

In regulation 10(c) of the Essential Services Commission Regulations 2011, for "appeals made" substitute "applications for review made to VCAT".

7Part 3 revoked

Part 3 of the Essential Services Commission Regulations 2011 is revoked.
