This regulation may be cited as the Equity and Fair Trading Legislation Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 1999 . ˙ Commencement 2. This regulation commences on 27 April 1999. PART 2—AMENDMENT OF BILLS OF SALE AND OTHER INSTRUMENTS REGULATION 1996 ˙ Regulation amended in pt 2 3. This part amends the Bills of Sale and Other Instruments Regulation1996 . ˙ Replacement of ss 2–4 4. Section 2 to 4— omit, insert — ˙ ‘ Other particulars to be included in register ‘ 2. For the Act, section 8(2)(d), the following are the other particulars to be included in the register— (a) the day the security interest was made; (b) the day the security interest will expire; (c) a reference code the security interest holder uses to identify the security interest; (d) a description of the chattels to which the security interest relates;

s4 4 s4 Equity and Fair Trading Legislation Amendment (No. 1) No. 68, 1999 (e) if the security interest relates to a crop—a description of the land on which the crop is growing; (f) if the registration is renewed—the date of renewal of registration. ˙ ‘ Way of applying for registration ‘ 3. The following are ways a person may apply for registration under the Act, sections 9(1)(a), 10(1)(a), 16(2)(a), 18C(2)(a) or 18G(2)(a)— (a) in the approved form; (b) by electronic transmission of the information required by the approved form in a format substantially similar to the approved form. ˙ ‘ Inspecting the register ‘ 4. For the Act, section 13(1)(a), the offices of the department at the following places are offices where the register may be inspected— (a) Brisbane; (b) Cairns; (c) Maroochydore; (d) Rockhampton; (e) Southport; (f) Townsville. ˙ ‘ Particulars of restraining orders to be included in register ‘ 5. For the Act, section 15(3), the following are particulars of a restraining order to be included in the register— (a) the name and address of the parties to the restraining order; (b) the date the order was made; (c) the date the order will expire; (d) a description of the chattels to which the restraining order relates.

For the Act, section 18D(a) the following are the particulars relating to the full or partial discharge of a registered security interest to be included in the register— (a) for a full discharge—the date of discharge; (b) for a partial discharge— (i) the date of partial discharge; (ii) a description of the chattels to which the partial discharge relates; (iii) if the security interest relates to a crop—a description of the land on which the crop to which the partial discharge relates is growing. ˙ ‘ Fees ‘ 7. Sections 3 and 4— omit, insert— ˙ ‘ Other particulars to be included in register ‘ 3. For the Act, section 5(2)(c) the following are particulars to be included in the register— (a) the day the lien was made; (b) the day the lien will expire; (c) a reference code the lienee uses to identify the lien;
