s1 2 s4 Environmental Protection (Noise) Amendment Policy No. 104, 2006 (No. 1) 2006 1 Short title This policy may be cited as the Environmental Protection (Noise) Amendment Policy (No. 1) 2006 . 2 Policy amended This policy amends the Environmental Protection (Noise) Policy 1997. 3 Insertion of new s 11A Part 2— insert ‘11A Acoustic quality compliance for special events ‘(1) This section applies to special events that are the subject of the Major Sports Facilities Regulation 2002 , section 3. ‘(2) The acoustic quality compliance levels stated in schedule 3A are authorised for special events in the 2006 calendar year.’. 4 Insertion of new sch 3A After schedule 3— insert ‘Schedule 3A Acoustic quality compliance for special events section 11A(2) Acoustic quality compliance levels (1) An acoustic quality compliance level is authorised for a special event if the level is equal to or less than at least 1 of the following— (a) 100dB(A) Leq , measured at 15 minute intervals, measured at a point 50m directly in front of the front edge of the performance stage;
s4 3 s4 Environmental Protection (Noise) Amendment Policy No. 104, 2006 (No. 1) 2006 (b) 70dB(A) Leq , measured at 15 minute intervals, measured at the locations mentioned in the Major SportsFacilities Regulation 2002 , schedule 2, section 7(1). (2) To remove any doubt, it is declared that subsection (1) is satisfied even if the level measured is greater than 1 of the levels stated in the subsection.’.
