This regulation may be cited as the Environmental Protection (Interim) Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 1997 . ˙ Regulation amended 2. This regulation amends the EnvironmentalProtection(Interim)Regulation 1995 . ˙ Amendment of s 2 (Commencement) 3. Section 2(5), ‘1 March 1997’— omit, insert— ‘1 January 1998’. ˙ Insertion of new s 59A 4. After section 59— insert— ˙ ‘Authorised persons—Act, s 128(1)(c) ‘ 59A. Employees of a local government who are appointed as authorised persons by the local government’s chief executive officer are an approved class of persons for section 128 of the Act.’. ˙ Omission of s 68 (Expiry of division) 5. Section 68— omit. ˙ Omission of s 70 (Expiry of division) 6. Section 70— omit.
