Regulations (No. 4) 2000
Made by the Administrator in Executive Council on the recommendation of the Environmental Protection Authority.
1. Citation
These regulations may be cited as the Environmental Protection
Amendment Regulations (No. 4) 2000.2. Commencement
These regulations come into operation on 1 October 2000.
3. The regulations amended
The amendments in these regulations are to the Environmental
Protection Regulations 1987*.[* Reprinted as at 2 April 1999. For amendments to 3 July 2000 see 1999 Index to Legislation of Western Australia, Table 4, p. 70.]
4. Regulation 4 amended
Regulation 4(5) is repealed and the following subregulations are inserted instead —
“
(5) In this Part (other than regulation 5G) and in
Schedule 3 fee amounts are expressed in units or
fractions of a unit, one unit being equivalent to the
amount specified in column 2 of the Table to this
subregulation during the period specified in column 1
of that Table.

5. Regulation 5G is replaced
Regulation 5G is repealed and the following regulation is inserted instead —
“
5G. Maximum fee (1) The maximum fee payable in respect of a licence is —
(a)
if the total amount otherwise payable under Part 3 of Schedule 4 is predominantly attributable to the discharge of waste into air or onto land —
(i) in a case where that total amount or a
component of that total amount is
subject to the increase specified incolumn 2 of the Table to this

come into force during the periodspecified in column 1 of that Table;

6. Regulation 5J repealed
