Made by His Excellency the Governor in Executive Council on the recommendation of the Environmental Protection Authority.

Citation

1.      These regulations may be cited as the Environmental Protection Amendment

Regulations (No. 2) 1992.

Regulation 17 inserted

2.      After regulation 16 of the Environmental Protection Regulations 1987* the

following regulation is inserted —

Lead content of petrol
17. (1) In this regulation "petrol" does not include aviation

in the course of a retail sale. (2) This regulation applies to the supply of petrol other than
(3) A person who supplies petrol commits an offence if —

(a)

the lead content of the petrol exceeds 0.65 grams per litre; or

(b)

the average lead content of all petrol supplied by that person during the calendar year in which the petrol is supplied exceeds 0.60 grams per litre.
