Environmental Protection Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 2013 [s 1] 1 Short title This regulation may be cited as the Environmental Protection Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 2013 . 2 Regulation amended This regulation amends the EnvironmentalProtectionRegulation 2008. 3 Insertion of new ch 3, pt 1, div 2A Chapter 3, part 1— insert— Division 2A Amount and form of financial assurance for environmental authorities 17B Guideline prescribed—Act, ss 294 and 295 For sections 294(3)(b)(ii) and 295(3)(b) of the Act, the guideline called ‘Financial Assurance under the Environmental Protection Act 1994’ is prescribed. (2) Schedule 2, section 49(1) and (2)— omit, insert— (1) Boat maintenance or repair (the relevant activity ) consists of operating, on a commercial basis, a boat maintenance or repair facility for maintaining or repairing hulls, superstructure or mechanical components of boats or seaplanes if the facility is within 50 metres of a bed of naturally occurring surface waters. (2) The relevant activity includes cleaning or maintaining hulls in water at a boat maintenance or repair facility or another place. 7 Insertion of new sch 3B After schedule 3A— 2013 SL No. 83 Page 3
