AN ACT to amend the long title, section four, section twelve, section thirteen, section fourteen, section sixteen and section seventeen of the Environ- mental Protection Act, 1971-1972.

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most ExcellentMajesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Environ- Er title

mental Protection Act Amendment Act, 1975. citation.

(2) In this Act the Environmental Protection Act, ,t1977i.:

(3) The principal Act as amended by this Act may be cited as the Environmental Protection Act, 1971-1975.

Amendment

The long title to the principal Act is amended by deleting the words "Environmental Protection", where they appear in line three and again in line four, and substituting the words "Conservation and Environment".

Section 4

Section 4 of the principal Act is amended by deleting the words "Environmental Protection", where they appear in line seven and again in lines eleven and twelve, and substituting the words "Conservation and Environment".

Section 12

Section 12 of the principal Act is amended by deleting the words "Environmental Protection", being the last two words in the section, and sub- stituting the words "Conservation and Environ- ment".

Section 13 of the principal Act is amended by deleting the words "Environmental Protection", in line three, and substituting the words "Conservation and Environment".

Section 14 of the principal Act is amended by deleting the words "Environmental Protection", in lines eight and nine of subsection (3), and substitut- ing the words "Conservation and Environment".

amended. 7. Section 16 of the principal Act is amended by deleting the words "Environmental Protection", in lines two and three, and substituting the words "Conservation and Environment".

8. Section 17 of the principal Act is amended— =1,17

(a)	by deleting the word "fourteen", in line one of subsection (1), and substituting the word "sixteen";
(b)	by deleting the word "thirteen", in line five of subsection (1), and substituting the word "fifteen";
(c)	by deleting the word "seven", in line seven of subsection (1), and substituting the word "eight";
(d)	by deleting the word "and", in line twenty- eight of subsection (1);
(e)	by deleting the passage "material.", in line thirty-one of subsection (1), and substitut- ing a new passage as follows

"material; and

(vii) one shall be representative of tertiary

educational institutions.";

and

(f) by deleting the word "thirteen", in line one of subsection (3).
