Regulation under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979.

Explanatory note

The object of this Regulation is to provide councils in the Greater Sydney Region with additional time to prepare and make a local strategic planning statement.

This Regulation is made under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979, including sections
10.13 (the general regulation-making power) and 10.15.

1      Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Environmental Planning and Assessment (Savings,

Transitional and Other Provisions) Amendment (Local Strategic Planning
Statements) Regulation 2019.

2      Commencement

This Regulation commences on the day on which it is published on the NSW legislation website.

3 Amendment of Environmental Planning and Assessment (Savings, Transitional and Other Provisions) Regulation 2017

(1) Clause 11A First local strategic planning statements prepared by councils

Omit “1 December 2019” from clause 11A (1) (a). Insert instead “31 March 2020”.

(2) Clause 11A (2)
Omit “1 July 2019”. Insert instead “1 October 2019”.
