No 72—Proclamation

GORDON SAMUELS, Governor I, the Honourable Gordon Samuels AC, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Amendment Act 1999, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 1 February 2000 as the day on which that Act (other than Schedules 3 and 7 [1]–[4]) commences.

Explanatory note

The object of this proclamation is to commence amendments to the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 (the Act), the Environmental Planning and Assessment Regulation 1994 (the Regulation) and the Environmental Planning and Assessment Model Provisions 1980 (the Model Provisions). The amendments to the Act deal with affordable housing and development funds, and various other matters. The amendments to the Regulation and the Model Provisions make miscellaneous amendments.
