ENVIRONMENTAL OFFENCES AND PENALTIES
(AMENDMENT) ACT 1990 No. 84—PROCLAMATION

I, Rear Admiral PETER ROSS SINCLAIR, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Environmental Offences and Penalties (Amendment) Act 1990, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 1 July 1991 as the day on which the following provisions of that Act commence:
(a) Schedule 1 (12);
(b)
item (12) of the provisions of Schedule 2 relating to the Clean Air Act 1961;
(c)
such part of item (12) of the provisions of Schedule 2 relating to the Clean Waters Act 1970 as repeals section 32A of that Act.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
The object of this Proclamation is to commence those provisions of the Environmental Offences and Penalties (Amendment) Act 1990 which insert section 8G into the Environmental Offences and Penalties Act 1989 (dealing with penalty notices for certain offences) and which repeal section 24C (penalty notices) of the Clean Air Act 1961 and section 32A (penalty notices) of the Clean Waters Act
