Part 1Preliminary
Commencement
These regulations commence when the Environment Protection Legislation Amendment Act 2000, section 3 commences.
Part 2Amendments of Environment Protection Act 1997
Act amended
This part amends the Environment Protection Act 1997.
Schedule 1, clause 1, definition of firewood

Schedule 1, clause 2 (w) (as proposed to be added by Environment Protection Legislation Amendment Act 2000)
omit
Schedule 1, clause 2, new paragraphs (zj) to (zl)
insert
(zj)the sale or supply in the Territory of firewood to the person who uses it, unless—
(i)the quantity of firewood sold or supplied is less than 100kg; or
(ii)the firewood is sold under a scheme in which an annual fee is paid for the right to collect waste softwood in pine plantations;
(zk)the sale or supply in the Territory of firewood to a person other than one mentioned in paragraph (zj);
(zl)the cutting, storing or seasoning in preparation for sale or supply, of firewood in the Territory.

This part amends the Environment Protection Regulations 1997.
Regulation 39A
omit everything before paragraph (a), substitute
39AConditions of environmental authorisation—firewood
For the Act, section 51 (a) (viii), the following are prescribed standards for an environmental authorisation in relation to an activity mentioned in the Act, Schedule 1, paragraph 2 (zj) with which the applicant for the authorisation must comply:

For the Act, section 51 (a) (viii), subregulation (1) (g) is a prescribed standard for an environmental authorisation in relation to an activity mentioned in the Act, Schedule 1, paragraph 2 (zk) with which the applicant for the authorisation must comply.
Dictionary, new definition of seasoned firewood
insert
seasoned firewood means firewood that contains not more than 20% moisture.
