Part 1—Preliminary

1—Short title

These regulations may be cited as the Environment Protection (General) Variation Regulations 2007.

2—Commencement

These regulations come into operation on the day on which they are made.

3—Variation provisions

In these regulations, a provision under a heading referring to the variation of specified regulations varies the regulations so specified.

Part 2—Variation of Environment Protection (General) Regulations 1994

4—Substitution of regulation 4AA

Regulation 4AA—delete the regulation and substitute:

4AA—Prescribed bodies (section 28)

For the purposes of section 28 of the Act, the following bodies are prescribed bodies:

Australian Conservation Foundation Inc

Australian Institute of Environmental Health

Beverage Industry Environment Council (BIEC)

Conservation Council of South Australian Incorporated

Engineering Employers Association, South Australia

Environmental Defenders Office (SA) Inc

Regulation 5—delete the regulation

6—Variation of regulation 10—Reference of applications to Water Resources Minister (section 64)

Regulation 10(1)—delete subregulation (1)

Note—

As required by section 10AA(2) of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1978, the Minister has certified that, in the Minister's opinion, it is necessary or appropriate that these regulations come into operation as set out in these regulations.
