1. Name of regulation

   This regulation is the Environment Protection Amendment Regulation 2015 (No 1).

2. Commencement

   This regulation commences on the day after its notification day.

   NoteThe naming and commencement provisions automatically commence on the notification day (see Legislation Act, s 75 (1)).

3. Legislation amended

   This regulation amends the Environment Protection Regulation 2005.

4. Schedule 2, section 2.2 (1), new definition of light rail

   insert

   light rail—

   (a)means a system of transport for public passengers using lightweight rail and rolling stock; and

   (b)includes tracks, catenaries, supports for tracks and catenaries, stops, pedestrian access to stops, signalling facilities and signalling equipment.

5. Schedule 2, table 2.3, item 16, column 2

6. Dictionary, new definition of light rail

   insert
