Act No. 17, 1993

An Act to amend the Entertainment Industry Act 1989 to postpone the

date on which the Entertainment Industry Interim Council is dissolved and to allow the Council further time to exercise certain functions under that Act. [Assented to 1 8 May 1993]

Entertainment Industry (Interim Council) Amendment Act 1993 No. 17

The Legislature of New South Wales enacts:

Short title

1. This Act may be cited as the Entertainment Industry (Interim

Council) Amendment Act 1993.

Commencement

2. This Act is taken to have commenced on 17 May 1992.

Amendment of Entertainment Industry Act 1989 No. 230

3. The Entertainment Industry Act 1989 is amended as set out in

Schedule 1.

SCHEDULE 1-AMENDMENTS

(Sec. 3)

(1) Section 6 (General functions of Council):

From section 6 (2), omit “within 2 years of the commencement of this Part”, insert instead “before 6 January 1994”.

(2) Section 7 (Transfer of. functions of Council):

Omit “the expiration of 3 years after the commencement of this Part”, insert instead “ l January 1994”.
