ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY ACT 1989—REGULATION

(Relating to delegations)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Entertainment Industry Act 1989, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

The Entertainment Industry Regulation 1990 is amended by inserting at

the end of the Regulation the following clause:

Delegation—prescribed classes of persons

7. For the purposes of section 53 (3) (b) of the Act, the following

classes of persons are prescribed:

• members of the Complaints Committee

• persons who were members of the Entertainment Industry

Interim Council before its dissolution on 1 January 1994

• public servants.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Regulation is to enable functions under the Entertainment Industry Act 1989 to be delegated to certain classes of persons. These persons are members of the Entertainment Industry Complaints Committee, persons who were members of the former Entertainment Industry Interim Council and public servants (i.e. departmental officers).

This Regulation is made under the Entertainment Industry Act 1989, including

section 53 (3) (b).
